Workshop Abstract

In this workshop the participants will be informed on a client-driven approach in developing family therapy knowledge in helping Chinese families with children and adolescents suffering from anorexia nervosa in Hong Kong.

The workshop comprises five parts:
(a) a literature review on family therapy and anorexia nervosa;
(b) process of formulating research questions;
(c) sharing of the three qualitative research projects conducted in the past years;
(d) contributions and limitations of these researches in knowledge development in family therapy; and
(e) clinical implications in helping Chinese families with emaciated children and adolescents.
